Patti Lipaj (Hoying)

Patti Lipaj (Hoying), 58, died November 7, 2015.

Cherished wife of Craig Lipaj. Loving mother of sons, Michael Fassnacht and Brian Fassnacht and stepmother of Chelsea Lipaj and Ryan Lipaj. Dear daughter of Kathleen Hoying (Kilbane), preceded in death by James Hoying, Father. Sister of Margaret Furnas (Hoying), Mary Kay McHugh (Hoying), Michael Hoying. Aunt to Hannah Furnas, Frances Furnas, Sean McHugh, Callie Furnas, Alyssa Hoying, Marissa McHugh, David Hoying, Grace Furnas.

Patti was a Social Worker at ViaQuest Hospice, a gifted listener and encourager who understood the need to die with dignity. Recently, Craig and golden retriever Marley joined Patti in visiting nursing homes. Patti dabbled in painting, in glazing pots that her husband spun and enjoyed reading, especially at the beach. Mostly, Patti enjoyed traveling with the love of her life and soul mate, Craig, married for 12 years. Patti's laugh, easy bright smile and ardent desire to make sure that a person knew that they mattered, young or old, healthy or sick, will be her lasting legacy.

Calling hours for friends and family will be held SATURDAY from 12 - 2 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N.
