Patty Lou Thompson

Patty Lou Thompson, age 77, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

Born November 5, 1937, she was the daughter of Carl A. and Beulah (Snoberger) Peterson, she was a lifetime resident of Akron.

Patty Lou graduated from Central High School, she also graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Education; she was a member of Delta Gamma. She taught kindergarten and first grade in the Akron Public Schools.

Patty Lou was a lifetime member of the Bethany Lutheran Church where she was active on many committees. She volunteered thousands of hours at Akron City Hospital as well as Children's Hospital. She enjoyed playing tennis, walking, and following all the Cleveland Sport teams.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Kenneth H.; children: Bruce (Theresa), Tom (Danielle), and Trayce (Rich) Krauth; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, cousins, and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna Mae Parker.

Friends will be received at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. where services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 19, 2015, with Pastor Deborah Wissner officiating. Burial will take place at Moore's Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Patty Lou's memory to the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 815 Carroll St., Akron.
