Paul Edward Baird, died May 13, 2015, at the age of 77.
He was a lifelong resident of Summit County. He graduated from the University of Akron, Conservatory of Music in 1959 and went on to teach music in the Akron Public Schools for 40 years, named Teacher of the Year at Robinson Elementary. He served as Tenor Soloist at High Street Christian Church for 50 years and was currently a member of Harmony Springs Christian Church. He enjoyed singing with the Hospitality Singers since its beginning in 2006. Paul was well-known for his beautiful floral arrangements.
Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Baird; he is survived by his children, Revs. Bob and Linda Kemp-Baird, Carol and Doug Zumstein, Dr. Kevin Butler, Tomette Kirk; and grandchildren, C. Drew Kemp-Baird, Gwendolyn Ann Zumstein and William Paul Zumstein.
