Paul passed away on October 26, 2022, after losing his wife Delores of 68 years, two days earlier on October 24, 2022.  Both were together in Hospice Care preceding their deaths.

Paul is survived by his son Eric J Porosky, his grandchildren Parker J Porosky and Sara Elizabeth Porosky.  Paul was preceded in death by his wife Delores and his daughter in law Gail Ann Porosky.

Paul lived and grew up in the North Hill area of Akron. Paul was a graduate of Buchtel High School in Akron, class of ‘49 where he played Varsity Football and Basketball.  He briefly attended Otterbein College and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Forward Artillery Observer during the Korean War.

Paul spent five years at the Akron Goodyear Air Dock on ‘The Squad’ and 34 years with Ford Motor Company where he retired as a Section Supervisor of Safety, Fire and Plant Protection having worked in Production, Plant Engineering and HR.  Paul was also a Master Mason and a 32° Mason.

Paul was retired from Ford for 29 years upon his passing.  Paul was known for being a straight shooter, for his sense of loyalty, his devotion to his family and for his love of his wife Delores.

Paul’s cremated remains will be buried alongside his wife Delores’ on Friday, November 11 in a closed family ceremony.
