Paul A Preiksa

Paul Preiksa, 75, sailed out of life's harbor for his Savior's dock early Thursday, January 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born December 14, 1940 in Akron, Ohio. Following graduation from Buchtel High School, he graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Paul was a consummate salesman with many distinguished accomplishments over the course of his long career. His passion for the great outdoors, especially fishing, brought him many hours of enjoyment with family and friends. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of Summa Health, Cooper Cancer Center, Visiting Angel's and Summa Hospice At Home for their exceptional and compassionate care over the course of his illness.

Preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Gertrude (Mayes) Preiksa; sister, Dorothy Jo Preiksa; and brother-in-law Paul Alekna; he is survived by Donna, his devoted wife of 54 years; son, Arthur (Nicole); daughter, Julie Lee (Mark); adoring grandchildren, Kyle Preiksa, Brendan and Cassandra Jo Lee; sister, Judith Alekna; nephews, Paul (Barb), David, and Mike (Kris) Alekna; and other family and many friends.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Lutheran Church with Rev. James Gau officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., and one hour before services at church.
