Paul August Urbank

Paul August Urbank, 88, died Jan. 13, 2013.

Paul August Urbank, born April 19, 1924, named for Paul Revere, was fitting for a man who loved history and politics his entire life. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1942 as the class president. He served in the Army in World War II in the Pacific Theater. Upon his return, he fell in love and married Lucinda Williams, his bride for 56 years. He learned the tool and die trade at Superior Mold and Die, and made his career at the Ford Motor Company, where he retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed raising small animals, hiking, hunting, and fishing. His other hobbies included model trains, woodworking, and winemaking. He mostly enjoyed the company of his family, friends, and neighbors.

Preceded in death by his wife, Cindy and son, Stephen; he is survived by sons, William (Carol), Paul/Tad (Annie), Mark, Tony, Joseph; daughter, Chris; grandchildren, Dayna, Billy, Becky, Joe (Caryne), John Paul (Kayla), Dallas, Marie, Anna; and great-grandchildren, Acelynn and Mckinlie. He will be missed by his brothers, Don and Phil; many loving nephews, nieces, good friends, and his best friend, Bob Thom.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Billow FALLS Chapel,1907 23rd St., (corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Northampton Cemetery with military honors by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281.
