Paul A. Weick, 82, of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, died November 25, 2012.
Born April 30, 1930 in Akron, Paul was a probate and patent litigation attorney in Cuyahoga Falls.
Paul was a member of the Case Western University Law Alumni Association, the Yale Alumni Organization, the American Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, and the Akron Bar Association. Paul also had an interest in technology and engineering. In 1995, he filed and was later issued a patent for a ferrous material recovery system, which he proudly displayed in his office for many years.
Throughout the 1970s and 80s, he served as a Trustee and AKC delegate for the Papillon Club of America, and as the Club's President from 1982-84. He retired to Hawaii in 1997, but remained active with the American Kennel Club, serving on their Appeals Trial Board through 2012.
Paul is survived by his wife, Kay Weick; sons, Paul (Christine) Weick of Bay Village, David Weick of Cuyahoga Falls, Stephen Weick of Mentor; stepdaughter, Janet (Rustom) Ramadan of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey; and eight grandchildren.
Service to be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
