Paula Giannini Massey

Paula Massey, age 75, left us Thursday May 2, 2024.

Paula was born in 1948 and lived in the Akron area most of her life. A graduate of St Thomas School of Nursing in Akron, she worked at the Cleveland Clinic as an open-heart scrub nurse and later transplant coordinator. Paula loved her job and the people she worked with.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Annette Dellagnese and husband of 36 years Gary Massey. She is survived by son Tony (Sharon) Fienman; Stepdaughters, Melissa Massey-Flinn, Sherry Jamal, Christine (Robert) Belmap; Sister, Christine (Michael) Lamonica; Brothers, John (Marsha) Dellagnese, Greg (Kelly) Dellagnese; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Paula and her husband Gary enjoyed the outdoors and traveled together across the US. Upon his death she continued their adventure in her RV with her faithful Burmese Mountain Dog, Faye. She was often joined by friends and family on her adventures. Paula made friends easily, treasured her family and she will be missed.

Calling hours will be WEDNESDAY, May 15th from 6-8 PM at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N Miller Road, Akron, OH 44333. Per her request there will be no service. Cremation has already taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Of A Kind Pet Rescue , 1929 West Market St. Akron OH 44313.
