Paula J. Scarpitti

Paula J. Scarpitti, age 70, of Akron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. 

She was born July 31, 1954, in Willowick, OH, daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Duffey. Paula was a true delight to be around. Her infectious laughter and sense of humor brightened any room. She had a heart of gold and was always thinking of others, surprising loved ones with thoughtful gifts. Whether it was a small token of appreciation or a grand gesture, Paula's kindness knew no bounds.

 She enjoyed working as an in-home caregiver for several years, where she cared for others in need, giving companionship, preparing meals, and running errands. Paula was skilled at being a good listener. She genuinely listened and made you feel heard and understood.

She loved the thrill of casino games and the freedom of the open road. Paula was always up for an adventure, whether it was a spontaneous road trip or a simple day out. She had a keen eye for beauty and a passion for all things sparkly. From elegant jewelry, colorful nail polish, and decadent sweets, she appreciated the finer things in life.

Paula was also an animal lover, especially small dogs. She had a way of connecting with creatures, big and small. Her gentle nature and compassionate heart made her a beloved friend to many. She is a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Michael Scarpitti; Michael’s two daughters, whom Paula loved as her own, Amie (Todd Blackledge) Scarpitti, and Katy (Joe) Licitri; cherished grandchildren, Ruby and Boden Blackledge, and Blaise and Anthony Licitri; treasured cousin, Jane (Jim) Gibson.

Memorial service will take place MONDAY, November 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
