Pauline County Adams

Pauline County Adams, 84, of Copley passed away on December 5, 2015 after three years battling cancer.

She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Greek-American parents Komnini and Gus County, and siblings Gus, Katherine, and Angelo. Teaching in Ottowa Hills before marriage, she continued teaching for four years at King Elementary in Akron. After marrying her loving husband, Dr. Thomas Adams O.D. in 1956, she had three children, Nicholas (Annette), Dean, and Jason (JoAnna). Besides her children, the sunshine of her world were her grandchildren Nicole (Nick and Annette) and Juliana (Jason and JoAnna).

Pauline was blessed with a wonderful life and committed to always doing her best. She loved her community volunteering for Akron Children's Hospital, St. Thomas Hospital, Stan Hywet, International Institute, and WITAN, as well as for her church (Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church) as a Sunday school teacher, Church Board, Gyro Luncheon, Philoptochos, and Daughters of Penelope. Pauline loved travelling the world with husband Tom and many friends. Cruising the seas as well as land travels in Europe, particularly Greece and Asia Minor, and China were her favorites.
May her name remain eternal.
Services will be held 1 p.m. WEDNESDAY at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., TUESDAY from 4-8 p.m. where the Trisagion service will take place at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S.
