Pauline Parabutsky

July 3, 1927 — January 19, 2016

Parabutsky, Pauline

Pauline went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 19.

She was born on July 3, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Sophia and Louis Parabutsky. After graduating from Hower Vocational High School in June of 1945, she moved to New York City to study advanced hair styling. She then returned to the Akron area and was employed as a cosmetology instructor at Hower and as a hair stylist at Polsky's Department Store.

In 1959, Pauline moved with her sister Eugenia and mother to Phoenix, where she soon found employment as a cosmetologist at Goldwater's Department Store and remained with the store for most of her career, receiving a gold watch for 25 years of service in September of 1984. She enjoyed traveling and photography and in recent years had been singing with a women's chorus made up of residents at Glencroft Senior Living in Glendale, AZ, where she had lived since March of 2010. She was a member of the Whitton Avenue Bible Church for many years.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings, Michael, George, Dorothy, Naomi, Violet, Mildred, Marian, and Eugenia. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews across the country.

Services will be held at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 a.m., with viewing to be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
