Sabas Cavazos, 87, passed away August 18, 2014 at Bath Manor Nursing Home, in Akron, Ohio; his wife Paulita P. Cavazos, 88, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2015 at her daughter's home in Fairlawn, Ohio.
Sabas was born on October 29, 1926 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran; he worked in Brownsville as a Police Officer, and later as a supervisor of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission at the International Gateway Bridge.
Paulita was born on August 23, 1926 in San Benito, Texas. She was a school teacher, a diagnostician, a middle school principal, Superintendent of Riverside School District, as well as the Assistant Principal at Hanna High School.
They are survived by their only daughter, Patricia L. (Frank C.) Ross of Fairlawn, Ohio; two grand-daughters: Laura (Trey Bohon) Ross of Pflugerville, TX., and Megan Ross of Fairlawn, Ohio.
Per their wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
