Peggy Jo Wolf died peacefully on June 23, 2016.
Peggy was born on October 12, 1924 in Turon, Kansas. She lived in Akron, Ohio for the past fifty years where she was involved in many community activities. Peggy was an active member and past president of Akron Woman's City Club, a member of Junior Women's Civic Club, a volunteer with St. Thomas' Auxiliary serving in the Gift Shop for many years as well as a member of the St. Thomas Women's Board and a member of Christ Methodist Church.
Peggy will always be remembered for her positive spirit, vibrant laugh and the thoughtfulness she extended to all she met. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bridge, bowling and golf with friends and over the years gifted her family with her beautiful needlework.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. Wolf. She is survived by her three sons, Willis and Kathy Wolf, Austin, Texas; Michael and Denise Wolf, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Jeff and Susan Wolf, Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Vicki and David Hanselman, Fort Myers, Florida; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two beloved cats.
At her request, a private, family service was conducted for Peggy on Saturday June 25, 2016, officiated by her son, Michael. She was interred at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Memorials in Peggy's name may be made to any organization of the donor's choice. The family extends appreciation to the Rockynol community for its supportive environment during Peggy's resident years and to Akron General Visiting Nurse Service Justin T. Roger's Hospice Care Center nursing staff and community for their kind, compassionate care for Peggy and her family during her final days.
