He retired from Summit County Children Services Board where he was a Social Services Supervisor and he later worked at Portage Path Community Mental Health Center as a Clinical Social Worker. While in the US Army, he served in Okinawa. He was a member of the National Association of Social Workers and enjoyed going to the Natatorium.

Pete never met a stranger who didn't like to talk to him. He loved to repeat the life stories of the repairman, bankteller, Acme employee, or Natatorium patron he had met that day. He really knew how to listen. Always a gentleman, Pete's witty remarks and hearty laugh will always be missed.
