Phyllis S. "Duffy" Chancey, 87, died December 24, 2015.
Born in Akron, she was member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and a 50 plus year member and past Matron (1968) of Billow Chapter #483 O.E.S. Duffy worked her entire life in Bookkeeping.
Preceded in death by her husband, R. Bruce Chancey; she is survived by her daughter, Deborah Ickes; son, Mark "Dutch" Chancey (Nancy); grandchildren, Melissa Goggins and Jamie Pience (John); great-grandchildren, Hannah Goggins and Victoria Pience.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St., Akron 44304, with Rev. David Nevergall officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service by Billow Chapter #483 O.E.S. begins at 10:30 a.m. Private inurnment in the Memorial Garden at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
