May Denton entered into the gates of greater life March 5, 2013.
She was born in 1919 in Bedford, Ohio. She met the late Rev. Bill Denton in one of his evangelistic meetings and they were married in 1942 until his death in 1982. May was fiercely loyal to her family and the ministries of her husband and son. She was the unseen wind beneath the wings of the Furnace Street Mission since 1942. As such, she was the constant structure behind the ministry of the late Rev. Bill Denton and an integral part of the subsequent history and accomplishments of that organization. Later in life she enjoyed motorcycle and blimp rides, and taking trombone lessons. With her longtime friend Nancy Wilkey, she organized and produced an extensive historical archive of the organization's documents dating back to 1926, highlighting her love of the Mission, Victim Assistance and the Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center. She enjoyed her family and was characterized by her crisp wit, which was a joy to all. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

William (Bill); sons, Ronald and Thomas; daughter, Violet; grandson, Anthony; brother, Robert Hamilton; sister, Velma Williams; and son-in-law, David Juersivich; she is survived by sons, Kenneth (Millie) and family, Robert (Marian) and family; daughter, Donnell Juersivich and family; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
