Prudence Lee Leatherwood went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 27, 2013 surrounded by her children at home.
She was born July 20, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to Carl Emerson and Velma Mary Leatherwood. She attended Revere High School in Bath, Ohio and went on to earn her Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron, Ohio. She later furthered her education by earning her Library Science Degree and a Masters in Science. Prudence was also a published contributor for ERIC (Education Resources Information Center).
In 1983 Prudence moved to Glendale, Arizona where she worked as a teacher and school librarian. She retired in 2005 after teaching a total of 39 years. Her other accomplishments include performing and choreographing dance for a liturgical dance team.
Prudence will be missed. She is survived by her four children, Bridget Barbernitz, Abigail Dickson, Lydia Zeisel and Daniel Dickson; plus twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held in Glendale, AZ. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. SATURDAY at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3653 W. Market St. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
