R. Michael Jones

Robert Michael Jones, 72, of Akron, Ohio died January 24, 2018. Mike was born on July 27, 1945 in New York City to Robert Jones and Sandra Levitzki. He was a Jewish Christian.
Mike attended the Admiral Farragut Academy in Pine Beach, NJ and Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY. He majored in Engineering.
Mike was active in Alcoholics Anonymous for many years. He was a member of the Praise and Worship team at St. Luke's playing the piano and violin. He donated erector sets to The Peanut Shop in downtown Akron.
Mike spent over 20 years as a resident of the Mayflower, then the last few years at Hickory Ridge nursing facility.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, OH 44333. Father Mark Scotton will officiate with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Ministries, 3810 Ridgewood Rd., # A, Copley, OH 44321.
