Raymond Spangle Patterson
Raymond S. Patterson, 77, went home to be with the Lord, Friday April 24, 2020. He passed away due to natural causes, peacefully, listening to his favorite song. A fight well fought in his last months, for moments worth fighting for.
He was born in Cambria, PA on Monday, August 10, 1942, to Raymond F. and Ethel Spangle Patterson. He grew up in Akron, Ohio. He remained in Akron most of his life, graduating from Buchtel High School in 1960. He was a car enthusiast, older Cadillac's were his favorite. He was an original author of part of a Chrysler vehicle manual. In his later years, he enjoyed feeding squirrels, more music, less tv, and he always loved his cat. He had quite the sense of humor. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and donated regularly to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and other charitable organizations. He was a single man at his death.
Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. and Ethel Patterson; his two older sisters, Dorothy J. Hart and Beverly Patterson; he is survived by his daughter, Corinna J. Wuchich of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Brittany M. Wuchich and great-granddaughter, LaDonta D. Smith. Raymond was also like a father to his very near and dear stepdaughters, Debbie Michael and Elizabeth Wuchich. He is further survived by 3 nieces, 1 nephew and 3 great nephews, 2 great nieces, 5 great great-nieces and 3 great-great nephews.
Raymond Patterson was laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron Ohio. April 30, 2020. He will be missed.
