Raymond Ribes, 85, passed away December 28, 2015.
Raymond was born in Canton, Ohio to the late John and Theresa Ribes. He graduated from Timken High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army after graduation, and then was employed at Timken Roller Bearing in Canton for 38 years. After retiring from Timken he was employed at Target in Akron for 14 years. Raymond was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joy was his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by loving wife of 58 years, Agnes; children, Diane (Tom) Moloney, Dave (Cheryl) Ribes, and Scott Ribes; sister, Mary Radosevich; grandchildren, Sean, Megan, and Shannon Moloney, John, Elizabeth, Caroline, and Joseph Ribes.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. MONDAY, January 4, 2016 at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. in Fairlawn. Burial with military honors to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon. Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Hilary Parish Foundation.
