Born in Akron on December 23, 1945 to Nicholas and Catherine (Scalia) Crano.
Rich worked for and retired from General Tire/Continental and Goodyear after over forty years. His work revolved around tires, his life evolved around family. He was a member of St. Hilary Parish. He was soft-spoken, kind, patient, generous with his time and knowledge. He never drove by a car dealer's lot without stopping and he always had time for his family. He enjoyed going to car shows, fixing things, spending time with his grandchildren, but most of all sitting around the table enjoying a meal with his family. He was the quintessential example of what a husband, father and grandfather should be. He will continue to be an amazing role model for his children and grandchildren.

Rich is survived by his wife of 56 years, Randa, daughter, Michelle Holman (Matt), son Michael Crano and grandchildren Gregory, Christopher, Anthony and Courtney.
