Richard Dale Edwards, age 71, passed away Dec. 12, 2008 after a courageous fight with cancer.
He was the loving father of daughter, Chana Johnson; son, Logan; and Melissa Lemley, who was like a second daughter; caring grandfather of Guy Dakota Bechter and Jessica Johnson.
After service in the Navy, he worked for Eastern Airlines until early retirement. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan his whole life.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron 44333, with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the funeral home.
