Richard G. Ivan, D.D.S., 74, died Sept. 5, 2015.
A true renaissance man with many talents and interests, Rick brought, hope, structure, and happiness to our family 37 years ago. He volunteered at the Free Dental Clinic of Cleveland and was a passionate pro-life activist.
He was born in Cleveland to Michael and Emilie Halak Ivan. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School, John Carroll University, and Georgetown University Dental School.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy (Fields); children: Mikhail Ivan and Natasha (Alexander) Rode; stepchildren: Stephanie Lannon, Craig (Janet) Johnson, and Alexander (Therese) Johnson; nine grandchildren: Michael, Allison, Halle, Sophia, Maxwell, Oliver, Andrea, Nicholas, and Madalyn; his sister Barbara (Richard) Lorius; five nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd, Akron, Ohio 44333, on Thursday, September 10th, from 5:00-8:00 pm; a Memorial Service will be held on Friday the 11th at 10:30 am at the Lakeside Christian Church, 3535 Knollwood Ln., Bath, OH.
