Richard L. Jackson, 73, passed away July 22, 2013.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and graduated from St. Vincent High School. Richard was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. He retired as a Quality Supervisor for Patio Enclosures and had been employed by General Tire and Ohio Jacobson.
Preceded in death by parents, Alphonso and Corinne Jackson and son, Jonnathan; he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Karen; children, Jennifer (Agostino) Micozzi, Jeffrey, and Jannessa; seven grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Barb) Jackson and Ronald (Maria) Jackson and sister, Christine (Larry) Clark.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pebble Creek and Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd with Rev. Darryl Moulder officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call on THURSDAY from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of VNS c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Avenue, Akron, OH 44307-2463 or to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087.
