Richard Oldfield

Richard L. Oldfield II, 62, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 after a short illness.
Rich was born in Akron, attended Firestone High School (Class of 1972) and played football at the University of Akron. After running Precision Controls with his father, he worked at St. Sebastian Parish and Akron Children's Hospital. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and family man. He loved taking his family on long road trips to the beach and volunteered his time to coach his children's sports teams. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and was a devoted Cleveland sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Oldfield. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly; and children, Dr. Lauren (Brian Keener) Oldfield, Ellen (Ryan) Cohen and baby boy Cohen, Luke Oldfield, and Leah (Brennen) Ott; mother, Elsie Oldfield; siblings, Rene I�e (Richard) Marsh and Randall (Phyllis) Oldfield; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Akron Children's Hospital, One Perkins Square, Akron 44308. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
