Richard M. Predl, born December 31, 1936, passed on Father's Day, Sunday June 17th, 2012 after a short illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Predl (Cornell) and Mike Predl and leaves his wife of 54 years, Marilyn (Newman) as well as children, Lori Reilly (Brian) and Michael Predl; grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Reilly, and Joshua and Stephani Predl, (upon whom he left an indelible mark); and brother, Joe.
Retired after 30 years of service at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. as a Machine Designer, he continued to "design" at Accent Manufacturing and A-Z Americas. The diverse knowledge he commanded and freely shared about "how things worked" was awe-inspiring, yet he was quietly humble. He enriched the lives of those he loved with his remarkable talents, his humor and his attitude. His legacy will forever impact his family and those who loved him.
By his request, no calling hours will be conducted and a private family service will celebrate his life. Should you so desire, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
