Richard T. Roop, Sr., 63, passed away peacefully November 24, 2009 after a long illness.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines serving two tours in Vietnam.
Preceded in death by his parents; his loving step-son, Cpl. Andrew Brownfield; survived by wife, Terry; sons, Richard "Tate" and Robert; daughter, Laura "Lolly" John Segriff; "Pops" son, John Amy Cunningham; step-daughter, Ashley Roop; grandchildren, Sarah, Breana, Justin, Cody, Savannah, Molly, Mitchell, Crystal, "Scoot", Cassidy and Brayden; sister, Sue Ted Schwertfeger; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends to help celebrate Rick's life at the Roop residence on Saturday, November 28th from 2 to 6 p.m.
