Rita M. Ulrich

Rita M. Ulrich, formerly of Bath, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 28, 2018 at the age of 96.

Rita was born in Akron on December 9, 1921 to Ermina (Wallack) McKenna and George E. McKenna. Rita graduated from West High School and attended the Ohio State University. On January 14, 1945 Rita married Joseph Ulrich, who proposed to her on their third date. For 62 years Rita and Joe were happily married, devoted to each other and their five children.

Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geraldine (Enderline); husband, Joseph; son Joseph; and granddaughter, Gretchen; Rita leaves and was the proud mother of Kathleen (Gordon) Raynor, (Deborah Ulrich), Thomas (Robin) Ulrich, Susan (James) Ruhlin and Steve Ulrich. She loved each and every grandchild and great grandchild in her own special way, Matt, Kelly, Megan, Joe, Jim, Mike, Katie, Ryan, Emily, Sara, Mia, Jennifer, Scott, Alexis, Kenton, Emery, Olivia, Molly, Cassie, Savannah, Bailey, Tyler, Evelyn, Austin, Amelia, Jack, Hannah, Adam, Antonio, Ariana and Adrian.

Dad called Mom the sunshine of his life. She not only brought sunshine into his life, but all of the lives she touched. Rita loved her family, a clean house, a great meal with family and friends, trees, animals, good music, dancing, playing cards, the beach, cars, shoes, and laughing with her lifelong friend, Bill. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. SATURDAY at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 164 W. Market St. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. FRIDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Private entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
