Robert A Moore

Robert A. Moore, 87, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012.

Robert was born December 30, 1924 to Hillan and Mabel Moore in Oscar, Kentucky. He left Oscar in 1944 to serve his county during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. After the war he moved to Akron, Ohio where he was an area resident for the remainder of his life. In Akron he met the love of his life, Marilyn Mise, with whom he was marred for 62 years. He was employed with RCA Rubber Company for 40 years, retiring in 1988.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Hilan and Mabel; brothers, Leonard, James, Joseph and Clarence; sisters, Ellen Stafford and Jessie Bush. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; children, Kimberly and her husband Louis (Mt. Gilead, OH), Karen and her husband Robert (Mechanicsburg, PA); grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Shannon and Jordan; sisters, Lottye Coolidge and Addie Gay (Kentucky); brother-in-law, Michael Mise and his wife Rebecca (Copley, OH); along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 12 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223-1403, Pastor Paula Koch officiating. Friends may call at the Billow's chapel on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
