Robert D "Bob" Beck

Robert D. "Bob" Beck, 67, of Bath, went to be with the Lord April 4, 2017.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church (where he attended elementary school), he was a 1967 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and he served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War stationed in Germany. Bob had a great sense of humor and was the first "American Picker" who loved to go to garage and estate sales. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, gardening, coin collecting and working on his century old home that is listed in the National Register of Historic Homes. He was the owner of American Cutting Tool Company.

Preceded in death by parents, Ruth and LeRoy Beck; daughter, Sandra Jean; girlfriend, Christina Givens; and cat, Punkin; he is survived by siblings, Graydon, Charlie (Nancy), Tommy, Debbie (Bill). Bob had a special relationship with his 5 nephews and nieces, Jimmie, Robbie, Jon, Jaime, and a special love for Chrisy; and his cat, Buddy. As an organ donor, he gave his eyes, so others can see.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Joshua Schoon officiating. Interment at Moore's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 139 S. High St., Akron, OH 44304.
