Robert E. ``Red' Dixon, 97, passed away peacefully September 21, 2010.
Robert retired from B.F. Goodrich after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Masons for 65 years and Yusef Khan Grotto for 50+ years. His storytelling will be missed by those that loved him. Preceded in death by his first wife, Helen in 1983; sisters, Adda and Clara; brother, Elmer; he is survived by his second wife, Mary; son, Bill Agnes Dixon; grandchildren, Pam Scott Yahner, Bob Jenny Dixon, Susie White; great-grandchildren, Elise and Alex Yahner.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gretchen Hazel and the entire staff of Haven Homes of Stow and Ethel Mayfield and Senior Independence Hospice for the loving care they gave dad the last four years.
Friends may call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, where a Masonic service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
