Robert Edward Williams, 87, passed away July 28, 2013 after a brief illness.
He was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was an independent building contractor and a member of the HBA of Akron during his active homebuilding years. He was also a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army during WWII.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Geneva Galbraith and Peggy Gulka; and is survived by daughters, Denise (Bryan) Talley and Kimberley Jones; grandson, Thomas Jones; sister, JoAnn Newcome; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. THURSDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. David Loar officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the service begins. Private Inurnment at Ira Cemetery.
