Robert D. Fenning passed away January 11, 2015.
He was born June 2, 1934 in Akron and lived in the area most of his life. He graduated from Tallmadge High School and Kent State University, he then served two years in the U.S. Army.
After retiring from Goodyear as a chemist in quality control, he was introduced to Habitat for Humanity. He and his wife Beverly enjoyed rehabilitating and building houses in Akron and eventually traveled the country on Jimmy Carter Projects.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; sister, Lois Shepherd; and sister-in-law, Karen Clough and her family. He was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Pinach.
A Memorial Service will be held at Green Valley United Methodist Church, 620 E. Turkeyfoot Rd., Akron, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 2:00PM with Pastor Jeffrey Croft officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity International, 121 Habitat St., Americus, GA., 31709-3498.
