Robert H. Feucht

Robert H. Feucht, 90, passed away on December 12, 2020 due to complications from Covid-19. He was born February 15, 1930 to Christian and Lydia Feucht. He was raised in Cuyahoga Falls and met the love of his life, Joyce Myers, in high school. They were married November 23, 1951 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage for 64 years.

Bob enlisted in the United States Navy reserves in 1951, serving at the naval air station squadron in Akron and was honorably discharged in 1958. He graduated with a degree in chemistry from the University of Akron in 1952 and joined Goodyear on the training squad. Bob retired in 1991 as the Development Manager for Industrial Products.

During retirement, Bob spent much of his time volunteering. He distributed food at Good Neighbors from 1996-2010 and starting in 1991, spent 27 years building houses for Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid bird watcher all his life and enjoyed hiking in the metro parks. Bob was a devout Lutheran and spent many hours studying the Bible. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran in Cuyahoga Falls and Hope Lutheran in Portage Lakes. He was active in the church, singing in the choir, teaching Bible classes, and serving in various church offices. Bob also enjoyed gardening and for many years, received beautification awards for his home in Akron.

Bob was preceded in death by parents; wife, Joyce; and sister, Wilma Burkholder. He is survived by children; Chris (Barb), Ken, and Jane (Doug) Weaver, grandchildren; Erik, Erin, Brad and Casey, and great-grandchildren; Leif and Bastian.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private family graveside ceremony was held at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in December of 2020. A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held 4:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY April 20, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 5th Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank, 350 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron, OH 44307.
