Robert Stuart Hancock, 87, passed away September 22, 2010.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio where he graduated from Withrow High School in 1941. Bob was an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 until 1946. Bob retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. as Sales Manager of the Industrial Products Division in 1987 after 37 years of service and was a member of the Portage Country Club.

Preceded in death by his parents, George Wade and Amanda Tate Hancock, Sr., and sister, Dorothy Tate Hancock, he is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Verna; brother, George Wade Marianne Hancock, Jr. of East Hampton, Mass.; nieces, Amanda and Ann Hancock.

There will be no services. Following cremation, his final resting place will be in Campbellsville, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summa Health System, Foundation Office, P.O. Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-6153. Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel
