Robert Milne Hough
Age 88, of Akron, Ohio, passed away in The Village of St. Edwards, Fairlawn, Ohio on March 12, 2012, following a short illness. Robert was born in Los Angeles, California on June 25, 1923, the son of the late John Kenneth and Marie Hough. Robert was a graduate of Amherst College, class of 1946, and a WWII Army veteran. A long time Akron resident, Robert retired in 1982 from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a devoted golfer, tennis player, friend, and family man.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his two sisters, Marilyn H. Harper and Nancy A. Mahan; first wife, Priscilla Plumb Hough and second wife, Lois Maureen Hough. He is survived by sons, John Christopher Hough (Jane) of Bolivar, Ohio and Jeffery Gale Hough of Baltimore, MD; stepsons, Jack (JoAnn) Hengst, Scott (Kathy) Hengst; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, a private internment has taken place at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron General Development Foundation, Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron, OH 44307.
