Robert G. Jackson
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 14, 1928, he went into his Heavenly Father's arms on April 2, 2016.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent and Cecilia Jackson; his brother, Vincent, Jr.; his in-laws, George and Nell McBain and his brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Shirley McBain. Bob is survived by his much loved wife of 63 years, Margaret; his four cherished children, Thomas D. (Jayne Edwards) of Cincinnati, Marsha E. (Larry) Damiano of Bonita Springs, FL, James R. Jackson (Karen Gobel) of Akron and Diane M. (Michael) Whalen of Cincinnati. He was Papa to Lauren Jackson-Klapp (Adam), Jordan R. Jackson, Jenna M. Damiano, Antonio R. Damiano, Elizabeth M. Fromhold and Emily M. Fromhold; Great-Papa to Payton Klapp. He is also survived by his brother, Richard G. (Beth) Jackson of Deland, FL and uncle to Kathie McBain-Wyler, Donald McBain, Laurie Jackson-McDonald, and David Jackson.
Bob served in the U.S. Army in the occupational forces in Japan at the close of World War II. He attended St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY and graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He was a salesman for Commerce Clearing House, spanning a period of 31 years. Bob's avocation was fishing. You didn't have to coax him to head to Canada or Lake Erie. He never met a fish he didn't like.
Bob was a wonderful, spiritual person who loved all of you and we in turn loved him.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. WEDNESDAY, April 6th at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. in Cuyahoga Falls. Services will be private with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W Streetsboro St, Hudson, OH 44236. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
