Robert E Mckisson

March 14, 1948 — November 9, 2013

Robert E. McKisson
Bob left this earth on November 9, 2013 to dance in a larger arena. He was born on March 14, 1948 and was a 1966 graduate of Revere High School. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.
Bob lived his adult life in the Washington, D.C. area and lived more recently in Newport News, Virginia. He loved being near the water on the beach. He also loved to dance. Bob was a "people" person making strong connections wherever he traveled. He cherished his friends.
In the world of business, Bob was a defense contractor, but not in the conventional sense. Bob used his knowledge, charisma, intelligence and creative "think out of the box" style to create business opportunities. He embraced the "Think Tank".
Preceded in death by his father, Earl E. McKisson, he is survived by his mother, Mary Louise (Dottie) McKisson; sister, Janet (Paul) Schwager; brothers, David (Eileen) McKisson, Jim McKisson; cousins, Cindy (George) Reidel, Gary (Linda) McKisson, Sue (Vince) Spirko, Harry Hillegas; nieces, Katie Schwager (Mohamed), Kelly McKisson; nephews, Andy (Christine) Schwager, Patrick Schwager, Peter Schwager, Greg McKisson, Kyle McKisson, Brent McKisson, Vinnie (Kate) Spirko , Chris Spirko and lifelong friends, Mike (Sandy) Alameda.
At his request, there will be no calling hours. His family will honor his request to "go home to the beach" in the spring so he can feel the sun. He asks to be remembered in true "Bob style" by enjoying good food and drink with friends. He would advise all to live life to the fullest and put daily sunscreen on the children.
