Robert Bennet Rasmussen

Robert "Bob" Rasmussen, age 87, passed away May 30, 2009 in Lakewood, Ohio.
A decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Bob lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio, and retired from the Fred Arbogast Company. He was a member of Bethel Valley United Methodist Church.
Bob was the beloved husband of Phyllis Cornuet Rasmussen; loving son of the late Rasmus P. and Christina Rasmussen; loving father of Terri Rassmussen Garduno, Ken and Carol Ciborek Rasmussen, Randy and Cindy Mozingo Rasmussen and Robert and Tracy Burnett Rasmussen; loving grandfather to seven and great-grandfather to ten; brother to twin sister, Alice Lynch, the late Dottie Hall and the late Bill Rasmussen; and cherished friend to many.
Services will be held Noon WEDNESDAY at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Donald Prather officiating. Interment with Military Honors provided by Ralph Huff VFW post 1062 at Greeenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 10 a.m. to Noon WEDNESDAY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Valley United Methodist Church, 1720 Knox Blvd., Akron 44320.
