Robert H. Reynolds, 91, passed away September 24, 2013 under the care of Summa Home Hospice in assisted living at the Village at St. Edward.
Born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a P-61 Black Widow pilot in the Pacific Theatre. He was awarded both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a 32nd Degree Mason and a Kiwanian. Bob was the owner of Reynolds GMC, vice president of Snyder Motor Freight and was a board member of Falls Savings and Loan.
Preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Frank Blumenthal; he is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margot (nee Breitmeyer) Reynolds; daughter, Nancy (Dave) May of W. Bloomfield, MI; son, William (Julie) Reynolds of Medina; grandchildren, Melissa (Dave) Patangia, Tom (Trudy) May, Geoff Blumenthal, Scott (Erin) May, Carrie May, Jordan and Jack Reynolds; one great-grandchild, Joey May; brother, Jack (JoAnn) Reynolds of New Smyrna Beach, FL.
At his request, he will be cremated and his urn buried in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Mt. Clemens, Michigan. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be announced later.
