Bob Routh passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the age of 73.
Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dave Frigo and his beloved fiancee, Elizabeth Maimone. He is also survived by future brother-in-law, John (Elaine) Maimone, who made countless trips from NC to visit Bob during his illness. Bob will also be missed by numerous friends, many from his days working at Mid Continent/Alltel. Bob was preceded in death by wife, Sandi, parents, Helen and Kenneth Routh, and brother, Richard Routh.
During the Vietnam Era, Bob served in the Ohio National Guard. Bob had a love of muscle cars and he had a knack for keeping them meticulously clean no matter what the weather conditions. He also had a love for golf and had 3 holes-in-ones in his lifetime. Bob loved vacationing at the ocean. He was known for his sense of humor. Bob was also very compassionate with animals. The family would like to thank the kind caregivers that treated Bob during his 67 days at Akron General and the compassion that was shown to both Bob and his family during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. MONDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Todd McKenney officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home MONDAY from 5 to 7 p.m. Should friends desire, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. (Billow FALLS Chapel)
