Robert Bob Semuga, 70, passed away July 30, 2009.
As truck driver, Robert was a member of Teamsters Local 348 in Akron, the Eagles 555, the Croatian Club and the American Legion. He was an All City Basketball Player and played semi-pro basketball for the Goodyear Lightfoots and played in the RCA League. He loved golfing and playing softball, enjoyed bowling and was an avid poker player.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Katherine Semuga and brother, Steven Semuga. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Genevieve; son, Ron Laurie Ware; granddaughters, Stephanie John Koellner, Nichole Bill Byers, Adriene and Krista Ware; three great-grandsons, John Koellner III, Charles and Cole Byers; two great- granddaughters, Kyra Byers and Jessica Koellner. He will also be missed by his sisters, Katherine Frank Ralston, Joanne Harry Orr, Shirley Tom Auber; nephew, Jeremy Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Jack Kozak officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to service on MONDAY.
