Robert Alexander Shanklin
Robert Alexander Shanklin, 28, died as the result of a seizure May 27, 2016.
Born in Akron February 17, 1988 to Tana F. Alexander and Richard L. Shanklin, he started school at the age of four with private speech and occupational therapy classes. He attended the Elms special needs program, Barber School, Litchfield School, Firestone High School and the Step 22 program at North High School. He was a graduate of North High School in June 2009. Robby began working in the vocational program at United Disabilities in July 2009 and has participated in All Star Training Club, bowling, playing bocce ball and basketball. He loved videos, music, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Robby had a smile that could light up a room.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin and Faye Alexander, Bob and Virginia "Shorty" Shanklin and aunt, Marta Perrine; he is survived by his mother, Tana F. Alexander; father, Richard L. Shanklin (Kathy); godmother, JoAnne Dawson; aunt, Lynn Shanklin; best buddy, Steve Stewart; numerous cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road, SATURDAY, from 3 to 5 p.m. Private memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Akron.
