Robert Snyder

Robert Lewis Snyder "Bob", age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Born on October 30, 1933 in Akron, OH, he graduated from Buchtel High School in 1952 and the University of Akron in 1959. He is a Korean War veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1960. He was employed by Honeywell Inc. through 1978 when he started his general contracting business Timberline Homes, retiring in 1994. Bob was a 50 year plus member of the Akron Lodge #83 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dawn; children, Ken Snyder, Todd Snyder (Vicky), Dawn Outland (David), David Snyder (Tammy); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Marge Brigeman (Fred) and brother, Bill Snyder (Carole).

Calling hours will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, April 28th at Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, OH 44333. Services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, April 29th at the First Baptist Church, 1670 Shatto Ave., Akron, OH 44313. Rev. Paul R. Jackson III officiating. Burial services will be held immediately after at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial contributions are welcome and should be mailed to the benefit of the First Baptist Church, or to the Justin T.
