Robert W. Thomas passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday January 12, 2014 after a short illness. He was 85.
Bob was born in Hudson and was a life-long Summit County resident, until moving to Port Orange, Florida, six years ago, after losing his wife Patricia (McKeever) in October 2006. They were married 53 years. He is survived by their son, Daniel (wife, Susan) and daughter, Laurie Williams (husband, Michael), and grandchildren, Katharine, Elizabeth, Erin, Patrick, and Michael.
Bob honorably served in the U.S. Army and worked for Lawson's Dairy and then Schwebel's Bakery for over 40 years until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and model train enthusiast, a passion he shared with son-in-law, Mike.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 25 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. (corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) with visitation at 10:00.
