Robert S. Uhl, 88, died of natural causes on September 14, 2013.
A life resident of Akron/Bath, Bob was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an avid golfer and bowler and loved to tell stories of his life to family and friends. Robert was a retired truck driver from Bender Loudon with over thirty years service.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret; children: Charles (Janet), Frederic (Rebecca), George (Sandra) and Dorothy; grandchildren, Aaron (Crystal), Evan (Bethany), Ian, Scotland, Patrick and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Pacey and Stryder; beloved dog, Mikey.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at The Bath Church, U.C.C., 3980 W. Bath Rd., with Rev. Mark Frey officiating. Inurnment at Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Akron. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
