Robert Bruce Wert

Robert Bruce Wert, longtime Akron resident, passed away to be with his beloved "Dolly" on May 3, 2017.
Rob was born October 10, 1946 in Akron to parents Bruce W. and Martha J. Wert. He was in the first graduating class of Firestone High School and attended The University of Akron where he was a member of the Lone Star Fraternity. Rob followed his father's vocation in Advertising Sales and spend several years with advertising agencies in Cleveland and Akron. He later built a very successful business in trade show exhibit industry. He developed a program called "Boothmanship" that trained show exhibitors on the pre-show, show floor and post show sales techniques to maximize their investment. Rob was an avid golfer and a member of Fairlawn Country Club.
He is survived by son, Tyler of Houston, TX; sister, Kathleen Dawe of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia and brother, Jack Wert of Naples, FL.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., on Saturday, May 13 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
