Robert D. "Bubba" Wirz passed away on December 7, 2011 at Cleveland Clinic.
Bubba was born February 5, 1949 to Albert H. and Cossette B. Wirz. Bubba graduated from Copley High School and California University with a Bachelor of Education degree. He had worked as a teacher for the Brunswick School System, police officer/inspector, Copley Police Department, and independent sales representative. Bubba had a great sense of humor and was a loyal friend to many. He will be remembered for his genuine concern for others and his generosity. Bubba spent years providing loving care to his mother and her dog, Cody after the death of his father.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, William, he is survived by his niece, Chantell Wirz; nephew, Brandon Wirz; and many loyal friends.
Private inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends will gather for a celebration of his life on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fairlawn Community Center, 3486 S. Smith Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333. Family and friends wish to thank the staff at Cleveland Clinic for their excellent medical treatment and care provided to Bubba Wirz.
