Rodney B. Stout, 83, died January 20, 2014.
Born December 30, 1930 in Akron, he was a graduate of Garfield High School. Rodney started mowing lawns as a teenager and developed R.B. Stout, Inc. into a lifelong business. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and the Portage Country Club, he was an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and Akron Rotary Camp as well as many civic and philanthropic organizations.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie B. Stout in 2008; he is survived by his children, Pam Kusar, Ted, Gary, Terry, Larry and Barry; grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Phil, Lexi, Cory, Jared, Lauren, Selby, Morgan and John.
Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., 4-7 p.m. THURSDAY. Private family interment at Rose Hill Burial Park, Dr. David A. Baker officiating. Friends are invited to a reception at Portage Country Club Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
