Roger Moore Hite

Roger Moore Hite was a corporate attorney for 55 years at Babcock and Wilcox and TLT Babcock. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and woodworking and, most of all, his family. When Roger did something, he did it well! He was 20 years a Master Gardener, 25 years a Fish Ohio Fisherman, four of which he was designated a Master Fisherman, a 47-year veteran of the Akron Metro Parks Hiking Spree. He was a long-time member of the Gardeners of Greater Akron and Akron Derbytown Chorus.

A Renaissance Man, Roger was a lover of life and learning. He had an expansive knowledge of a variety of subjects and loved to interact and teach.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jeanie Hite, and his sister Karen Patterson (David). His children are Christine Moore (Jeffrey), Richard Hite, Noelle Whitehouse (Tony), and Patrick Hite (Sandi). His ten remarkable grandchildren are Libby Archinal (Jeff), Evan Moore, Thomas Hite, Leland Whitehouse, Jackson Whitehouse, Mason Hite, Camryn Hite, Madison Hite. Grandchildren Courtney Argabright and Brandon Argabright gave Roger exceptional care throughout his final years. Roger was also delighted by his great-grandchild, Constance Archinal.
